May 24th - June 23 th 2013

RicCAA is an International Biennial of Contemporary Art and Design that focuses around environmental sustainability. The exhibition that takes place in Padova (Italy) is born in 2008 out of an idea of Marisa Merlin, today's curator. RicCAA is an artistic platform which incorporates many different forms of expression and has its heart in the exhibition where the selected works are shown. The jury is internationally recognized and there are thousands of visitors for every edition. A variety of meetings, debates, spectacles, concerts, movies and educational happenings are prepared for the audience. Art becomes a vehicle for the communication of ideas and comparison. The exhibition focuses on Contemporary Art&Design and invites creators from all over the world to present their works and projects. Suggestions and comparisons about sustainable development will be enlightened through the privileged language of Art. The curator's goal is to realize a “work in progress” event and research out of RicCAA. Here everybody's participation enriches the dialogue between different experiences and develops positive processes in every field through Culture and Art.
